That same evening they will play the Elkhart Firefighters Softball Team at 7:30 p.m. at Riverside Park. The National Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team pushes the limits of modern prosthetic technology. Their motto is “life without a limb is limitless”. Representing some of our nation’s bravest and most determined soldiers and veterans, all of the young men sustained severe injuries while serving in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Through extensive rehabilitation and perseverance, they have become competitive athletes again.
The National Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team does not receive funding from any private or government agency. Tickets for the games are $10. For more information go to their web page, here.
